WILL BE REUNITED WITH INFANTS WHO DIED?

The dominant view of the Church today, they say, is that babies and small children who die will be with God in heaven

Charles Spurgeon, one of the most famous pastors of all time, and known as the “Prince of Preachers” “I cannot conceive it possible of Jesus as the loving and tender one, that when he shall sit to judge all nations, he should put the little ones on the left hand, and should banish them forever from his presence.

Norm Geisler, on page 454 of Systematic theology, volume 3, states the pros and cons for babies and children who die before the age of accountability. He concludes with the idea they do go to Heaven.

Will a child who dies at age six appear that age in Heaven? Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian, argue that we will all be the age of Christ, when He was crucified, about thirty-three.

Hank Hanegraff suggests, that our bodies will be resurrected at the optimal stage of development determined by our DNA.

Jesus said that the angels assigned to children continually see the face of My Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 18:10).  The Bible Believers’ Commentary makes an interesting point. If Children are important  enough to engage angels, the Lord Jesus, and God the Father, then how likely is it that he will deny them a place in Heaven.

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mother’s womb. This clearly shows that an unborn baby is a person, and a  malicious abortion is murder.

David said in Psalm 22:10, From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

God told Jeremiah he’d known him since before he was formed in his mother’s womb. (Jeremiah 1:5)

The most common Biblical argument used to support infant salvation is David’s statement about his son who died: “I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”

It is God’s mercy and love for us that lead most pastors to believe  children who are miscarried, aborted, and died before the age of accountability will be in Heaven with us.
